Fine quality lazulite crystals from the famous phosphate deposits of Yukon, Canada. Lazulite is a rare magnesium aluminum phosphate and some of the best come from this locality. Lazulite crystals are razor–sharp, highly glassy–lustrous, very well formed, monoclinic, deep indigo blue color measuring to 9mm. Many crystals have gemmy areas with striking royal–blue–green color. Small colorless fluorapatite crystals are seen too. For references see the 1992 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 23, # 4. In excellent condition – some outside edge contacts. On acrylic base.
Gorgeous!
