A fine chromian vesuvianite crystal from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. It is sharply doubly terminated with pointy tips. It has from apple green to grass-green color due to chromium. The quality is very good – it is gemmy with lustrous faces, which strongly reflect the light. Rare chromian vesuvianite from this great now closed mine. Some small crystals grow above. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In excellent condition. On acrylic base.
