A stunning top specimen of honey-orange colored grossular garnet crystals from the legendary Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. On the small matrix stands out one prominent, dazzling main crystal of 14mm that forms a great focal point. It is beautifully complemented by an array of sparkling garnets. The crystals exhibit extraordinary transparency and are of true gem quality, with a high lustre and rich coloration. Their glassy appearance and pure, vibrant color resemble liquid sunlight. The crystals have a perfect rhombic dodecahedral habit with sharp crystallization. All crystals have the nice striations characteristic for Jeffrey mine. It displays beautifully from all sides. With such amazing gemminess, striking luster and irresistible color it is a truly outstanding piece from this great now-closed locality. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In superb condition. On acrylic base.

This is a world-class, competition-grade specimen - a treasure for any elite collection!
