A mesmerizing gypsum specimen with sculptural display from the famous Potosi Mine, West Camp, Santa Eulalia District, Chihuahua, Mexico. It comes from level 10 in the mine. It features two dominant white gypsum arches growing above gypsum flower like base. They are formed by curved, parallel crystals. This is so called “ram’s horn” gypsum. They are thick and translucent with a sparkling luster. Some small curls peeling off the main growth. The crystals sit freely above the base and that gives very three dimensional 360 degree display. In excellent condition.
Stunning!
