A mesmerizing vesuvianite specimen from the renowned Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. The sharply terminated prismatic crystals are transparent and gem. They display a fascinating color gradient, ranging from apple-green to striking, rich raspberry at the crystal caps. The luster is very strong and the crystals are glassy. Some are doubly terminated. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In very good condition – some outside edge contacts and minor nicks. On acrylic base.
A marvel to behold!
