A fine crystal of garnet var. almandine from Garnet Hill, Nevada, USA. It is from translucent to gemmy when properly lighted. It is 17mm, with a strong luster and dark wine-red color. The crystal has a sharp trapezohedral habit. In very good condition - some minor nicks. On acrylic base.
