A superb specimen of skeletal galena crystals with sphalerite from 9th Septemvri mine, Madan ore field, Bulgaria. It displays very attractive geometrical perfection of sharp galena crystals on a sphalerite base. The skeletal structure is caused by very fast growth of the mineral where the crystal faces do not have the time to be completed because the edges grow faster than the center. The faces are matt lustrous. Black sphalerite tetrahedral crystals with a good luster form the base. In very good condition – some small damages.
