A killer specimen of gemmy rhodonite crystals from the famous San Martin Mine, Chiurucu, Peru. This locality produced some of the finest rhodonite pieces in the world and this is a choice specimen. It displays rich pink-red colored blades of rhodonite with a sharp shape. The crystals grow in radial sprays. They are highly lustrous, translucent to transparent and gemmy. Above are seen white calcite crystals and minor sparkling pyrites. In very good condition – some outside edge contacts.
Outstanding!
