A sculptural specimen of native copper decorated with colorful chrysocolla from Sesepe Village, Obi Island, Indonesia. This unusual combo comes from a new find. It displays very elegant and three dimensional copper plates growing in a neat cluster. Blue, blue-green chrysocolla partially covers the copper. This interplay of textures and colors - from the brilliant sky-blue chrysocolla to the earthy, oxidized copper - creates a stunning effect. The piece is well-balanced and aesthetic. The unique mushroom-like structure, with a broad, overhanging chrysocolla-copper cap supported by a narrower base, adds to its artistic and mineralogical significance. In very good condition – some natural imperfections. On acrylic base.
Fantastic geological artistry!
