A pretty specimen of gem and fine spessartine garnet crystals to 6mm covering a microcline base from Tongbei, Fujian Province, China. The spessartine crystals are transparent and bright with rich, and saturated orange color. They have a sharp rhombic dodecahedral habit and a strong glassy luster. Shiny muscovite crystals are seen too. The display is very aesthetic with a strong contrast. In excellent condition. On acrylic base.
Fascinating!
