A superb specimen of garnet var. uvarovite from the renowned Saranovskii Mine, Russia, showcasing crystals up to 2.5mm in size. Uvarovite, a rare and prized variety of garnet, owes its rich green color to the presence of chromium. This particular specimen is exceptional due to the sheer quality and density of its crystals. The deep, intense grass-green uvarovite crystals are sharply formed in a rhombic dodecahedral habit. Their remarkable luster and sparkling brilliance enhance the overall aesthetic, making the green crystals pop out. The bottom of the piece is sawed. In very good condition – some small contacts. On acrylic base.

A striking example of uvarovite!
