A mesmerizing specimen of blood red, flattened, tabular, hexagonal crystals of vanadinite beautifully growing on a white baryte base from the famous Mibladen Mining District, Morocco. The vanadinite crystals have a rich blood-red color to some orange nuances. They are gemmy with a strong, glassy luster. The crystals are sharp and well shaped. The piece is very fresh and sparkling. The cluster is densely packed, with individual crystals interlocking in a complex, three-dimensional arrangement that emphasizes their geometric beauty. It displays aesthetically all over 360 degree. For references see May - June 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record - Vol. 44, No. 3. In excellent condition – some minor nicks. On acrylic base.
Stunning!
