A beautiful specimen of galena, chalcopyrite, sphalerite and quartz from 9th Septemvri mine, Madan ore field, Bulgaria. Very attractive and geometrical arrangement of stacked and aligned galena crystals overgrowing each other. Excellent parallel growth of cubes and elongated tetragonal prisms on different axes. They show skeletal features. The faces are matt lustrous. The galena cubes are with parallel truncated corners. Surrounding the galena are clusters of jet-black sphalerite crystals, showcasing a high-gloss, resinous sheen and intricate tetrahedral crystal forms. Accentuating the composition are flashes of golden-yellow chalcopyrite crystals, adding vibrant contrast with their brassy metallic appearance. Small quartz crystals form the base. In excellent condition.
This striking combination of textures, colors, and crystal structures makes this specimen a highly desirable piece for mineral collectors!
