An exceptional and iconic specimen of honey-orange colored grossular garnet crystals from the legendary Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. Unlike many pieces from this locality, where crystals uniformly blanket the matrix, this specimen stands out with two prominent, dazzling main crystals up to 13mm in size that form a stunning focal point. These are beautifully complemented by an array of smaller, sparkling garnets that add a touch of elegance. The crystals exhibit extraordinary transparency and are of true gem quality, with a high lustre and rich coloration. Their glassy appearance and pure, vibrant color resemble liquid sunlight. The crystals have a perfect rhombic dodecahedral habit with sharp crystallization. All crystals have the nice striations characteristic for Jeffrey mine. With such amazing gemminess, striking luster and irresistible color it is a truly superb garnet from this great now-closed locality. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In superb condition – some minor natural imperfections.

This is a world-class, competition-grade specimen, a treasure for any discerning collector and an irreplaceable addition to any elite collection!
