A superb skeletal geometry for these galena crystals from Laki, Bulgaria. This specimen is not from the famous Madan mining area. It displays stacked and aligned galenas overgrowing each other. Excellent parallel growth of cubes and elongated tetragonal prisms on different axes. They consecutively grow one atop another forming an amazing skeletal structure. The crystals are mirror lustrous, shiny and light reflective. Some gas bubble deformations are seen on the faces. One doubly terminated quartz crystal is seen too. In excellent condition – some small nicks.
Bedazzling!
