Splendid crystals of the famous iridescent "rainbow" garnet var. andradite from Kohse mine, Tenkawa village, Japan. It displays one dominant 12mm crystal, decorated with smaller one. The crystals have a pleasing tobacco color with a razor-sharp rhombic dodecahedral habit and a strong luster. They have a gorgeous natural iridescence. The locality is strictly prohibited for collecting so the specimens are rare. Some micro nicks and outside edge contacts. On acrylic base.

Fascinating iridescent andradite!
