A superb specimen of twinned cubanite crystals from Henderson No. 2 mine, Chibougamau, Quebec, Canada. This, now-closed mine, has produced the best cubanite in the world. It displays crystals to 7mm in a cluster. They have a good luster, nice striations and a pleasing brassy-yellow color. They show a nice V twinning and some iridescence. For references see the 1983 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 14, # 3. In very good condition – some small nicks and contacts. On acrylic base.
Excellent cubanite!
