Very unusual example of rhodochrosite from this famous locality - Mont Saint-Hilaire, Quebec, Canada. It displays intergrowing crystals with a rich dark brown-red color and a sharp rhombohedral habit. The luster is good. For references see the 1990 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 21, # 4. In excellent condition – some small contacts. On acrylic base.
Neat rhodochrosite from Mont Saint-Hilaire!
