A colorful specimen of kolwezite over richly fuchsia colored dolomite var. cobaltoan dolomite covering calcite from Kansalawile Mine, Tenke-Fungurume area, Congo - Kinshasa. It displays transparent calcite base. Cobaltoan dolomite crystals cover the calcite. They are with an amazing and vivid fuchsia color. Above is seen minor green kolwezite with a botryoidal habit. Kolwezite is a rare anhydrous Cu-Co carbonate.  This is a unique combo of two highly sought-after minerals. In good condition – some small nicks. On acrylic base.
