A rare carletonite crystal from this famous locality - Mont Saint-Hilaire, Quebec, Canada. The carletonite is one of the very rare mineral species unique for the type locality Mont Saint-Hilaire. It occurs only there and none has been found for many years. Crystals are not often seen and most of the pieces are just cleavages. This piece shows one cubic crystal of 8mm with a good luster. The color varies from colorless at the rims to a rich blue at the center. For references see the 1990 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 21, # 4. In very good condition – some contacts. On acrylic base.
