An exceptional specimen of rare colorless garnet var. grossular crystals decorated with one gemmy sphalerite crystal and diopside needles from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. The colorless garnets are among the rarest in the world. The grossular crystals to 2.5mm are super gem, completely transparent and clear like water. They have a rhombic dodecahedral sharp crystallization and a glassy luster. They are fluorescent in a bright pink. Some green chromian phantoms are seen inside. Sphalerite crystal of 4mm is a sharp tetrahedron with an amber-brown color and some transparency. Sphalerite is very rare in Jeffrey mine and such fine crystal is unique.
