A splendid corundum var. ruby crystal from Zazafotsy Quarry, Fianarantsoa Province, Madagascar. The crystal of 30mm has a rich dark raspberry color and a good hexagonal shape. The luster is matt. It displays some slight gemminess. It is fluorescent. Some natural imperfections. On acrylic base.
