A fantastic and rare specimen of mushroom-like tourmaline var. rubellite from one of the most unusual tourmaline finds of all time in Momeik Township, Myanmar. It displays a trigonal rubellite cap with rich raspberry color. It is waxy lustrous. The stem is black tourmaline var. schorl. Interestingly the core is formed by standard prismatic crystal, which is quite unique presentation of two habits. The specimen is colorful and pleasing. It is complete all over and very well shaped. In very good condition – some base part contacts. On acrylic base.
Mesmerizing rubellite flame!
