First grade quality cuprite crystals partially pseudomorphed by copper from the famous Poteryaevskoe Mine, Rubtsovskoe Cu-Zn-Pb deposit, Russia. It displays sharp cuprite octahedrons. They have a very strong luster and light reflection. Some areas of the cuprite have been replaced and pseudomorphed by copper. The unusual aspect of this pseudomorph is that the copper forms small clusters with copper-brown color. Complete all over. For references see the issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 45, # 4, July-August 2014. In very good condition – some small contacts. On acrylic base.

Outstanding!
