An exceptional and rare specimen of proustite from the famous classic locality Bad Schlema, Erzgebirgskreis, Saxony, Germany. This is an old specimen from this closed locality. The crystals have a good waxy luster and rich blood-red color when backlit. They have a good shape. The most amazing aspect is the quality of the proustite – it is translucent and gemmy. In order to preserve the color it must be stored in the dark. In very good condition – some small nicks and contacts. On acrylic base.
