An outstanding, old specimen of gemmy rhodochrosite crystals from this less common locality - Santa Rita Mine, Yauli Province, Peru. These were found in the 1980s and 90s. It displays translucent to transparent rhodochrosite crystals. They have an intense and rich cherry-red color. The crystals have a sharp rhombohedral shape. The faces have a good luster. In very good condition – some small nicks and natural imperfections. On acrylic base.
