A superb classic specimen of razor-sharp axinite-Fe crystal from the classic type locality- Le Bourg-d Oisans, Grenoble, France. It is transparent and gem, complete all over with a marvelous clove-brown color. The clarity is amazing and the faces are extremely glassy. Small epidote and calcite crystals are seen too. It displays aesthetically on both sides. In very good condition – some small nicks. On acrylic base.
