Fascinating specimen of mirror lustrous Galena plates decorated with Calcite crystals from superb find in Krushev dol mine, Madan ore field, Bulgaria. The mines in Madan produce some of the finest Galena in the world and this is a choice specimen. It displays sharp, well formed Galena plates. They have excellent brilliance and light reflection. On the faces are seen gas bubble deformations. Lustrous rhombohedral Calcite crystals grow above. They are colored by rusty-orange coating which gives a nice colorfulness. Some Quartz crystals are seen too. In very good condition – some small nicks and contacts.
