Killer specimen of Hematite plates decorated with Rutile crystals with epitaxial growth from the famous Cavradi gorge, Switzerland. Cavradi Hematites are classic and highly treasured. The crystals have perfect plate shape with beveled terminations. They grow in a beautiful three dimensional cluster. The Hematite has superb quality, with extremely lustrous faces which nicely reflects the light and cool growth striations. When properly lighted they are iridescent. Above are seen epitaxial red Rutile crystals. They are well isolated and lustrous. In very good condition – some side contacts. On acrylic base.
