Attractive specimen of Hematite decorated with Quartz crystals from the famous Cavradi gorge, Switzerland. Cavradi Hematites are classic and highly treasured. The Hematite crystal is a thin plate. It is lustrous and it nicely reflects the light. It has cool striations. At the base part is seen epitaxial overgrowth of small reddish Rutile crystals, aligned in the direction of the Hematite growth. Water clear Quartz crystals form the base. They are razor sharp and extremely pure. Some damages. On acrylic base.
