Gorgeous and not often seen specimen of Quartz var. Amethyst from Balkhash, Karaganda Region, Kazakhstan. It displays three up to 21mm Amethyst crystals standing at the top of a thin crust with sculptural 360 degree exposition. They have rich violet color with strong transparency and colorless strips at the center. The crystals are very well formed, sharp and free-standing. They are doubly terminated.  The quality is very high, with striking color and sparkling glassy luster. In excellent condition – some natural imperfections. On acrylic base.
