Outstanding specimen with superb morphology of Chalcopyrite and Sphalerite crystals on a Quartz base from the famous Madan ore field, Bulgaria. It displays black Sphalerite tetrahedrons growing atop Quartz crystals. The Sphalerites are sharp and well formed with matt luster. Well isolated small yellow Chalcopyrite epitaxial crystals decorate the Sphalerite. Chunky up to 30mm Chalcopyrite crystals grow at the top making an excellent finish. Beautiful display specimen with excellent focal points. In very good condition – some small nicks and base contacts.
