Sculptural combo specimen of Sphalerite and Galena decorated by Chalcopyrite from Madan ore field, Bulgaria. Very attractive arrangement of sharp Galena cubes overgrowing Sphalerite octahedrons. One dominant 20mm Sphalerite crystal makes excellent focal point. The Sphalerites are translucent, lustrous, slightly gemmy and twinned. They have olive brown-green color. The Sphalerite crystals are partially replaced by Chalcopyrite. The Galena cubes are matt lustrous and shiny. Small yellow Chalcopyrite crystals grow above. Displays all over 360 degree. In very good condition – some small nicks. On acrylic base.
