Pleasing color for this Manganoan Vesuvianite specimen. Vesuvianites have intensely colored purple crystals. They are gemmy with a very flamboyant display. Many are doubly terminated. Vesuvianite have a strong luster. All crystals are with very fresh look and are strongly light reflective. Almost complete floater – very minor contacts. Displays beautifully all over 360 degree. Fine quality Vesuvianite – very vivid, very sparkling. For references see the issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In excellent condition – some small contacts. On acrylic base.
