Beautiful Rhodochrosite specimen from Uchucchacua mine, which has produced some of the finest Rhodochrosites and now is closed. Gem Rhodochrosite crystals to 10 mm with cherry-red color and scalenhedron shape, are aesthetically set on a black Manganese oxide. The Rhodochrosite crystals are transparent and gem. Colorless small Quartz crystals are scattered around and add nice contrast. Some contacts and damages. On acrylic base.
