A fine and very uncommon specimen of gem vesuvianite from the renowned Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. The main 23mm sharp prismatic crystal is split in the middle by another horizontal, doubly terminated crystal at the top. The crystals are transparent with a bright apple-green color. The luster is very strong and the faces are glassy. The specimen displays all over 360 degree. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In very good condition – back side contact. On acrylic base.
Superb!
