An offbeat specimen of garnet var. andradite crystals from Serifos Island, Greece. This piece features rhombic dodecahedral andradite crystals up to 7mm in size. The crystals exhibit a warm brownish-yellow color at their centers, beautifully accented by dark brown edges that sharply outline each crystal, creating a dramatic and eye-catching contrast. The andradites are very well crystallized, with sharp edges and a good luster. In excellent condition – one back side contact. On acrylic base.
