A superb specimen of skeletal galena crystals with sphalerite from 9th Septemvri mine, Madan ore field, Bulgaria. It displays very attractive geometrical perfection of stacked and aligned sharp galena crystals overgrowing each other. Excellent parallel growth of cubes and elongated tetragonal prisms on different axes. They grow one atop another forming an amazing terraced structure. The faces are matt. Black sphalerite tetrahedral crystals with a good luster form the base. In very good condition – some outside edge contacts. On acrylic base.
