A splendid gem corundum var. sapphire crystal from Ratnapura, Sri Lanka. It displays a 8mm single sapphire crystal. It has a sharp habit.  The sapphire is transparent and gem with a rich blue color to almost colorless areas. It is lustrous and light reflective. In very good condition – some minor nicks. On acrylic base.
