A killer specimen of honey-orange colored grossular garnet crystals to 8mm from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. The crystals are transparent, gem quality with a strong glassy luster. They have a rich and saturated honey-orange color - pure orange water. The grossular has a rhombic dodecahedral habit with sharp crystallization and pretty edge modifications. It has nice striations characteristic for Jeffrey mine. It displays beautifully from 3 sides. The main crystal at the top forms an excellent focal point. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In very good condition – some micro nicks and outside edge contacts. On acrylic base.
Stunning!
