Rich green garnet var. grossular var. chromian crystals from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. The crystals to 1mm are gem, strongly lustrous and sparkling. They have a very deep and saturated grass-green color due to chromium. They are with a sharp rhombic dodecahedral habit, glassy luster and irresistible color. Small inclusions of black chromite are seen too. Apple-green diopside crystals grow on the base. It displays on both sides. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4.
