A fabulous grass-green colored chromian vesuvianite crystal – the rarest and most desirable color from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. The well shaped crystal has a very saturated green color due to chromium. The quality is very good – a gem crystal with lustrous faces, which strongly reflect the light. Rare chromian vesuvianite from this great now closed mine. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In excellent condition – some back side contacts. On acrylic base.
Mesmerizing!
