Fascinating and very rare shigaite crystals decorating sparkling rhodochrosite base from this famous locality - NChwaning I Mine, South Africa. Shigaite is a very rare aluminum manganese sulfate and the finest specimens for the species come from this locality. It displays strongly sparkling fresh rhodochrosite crystals with a vivid pink color. Above grow to 3mm shigaite crystals. They are tabular with a honey-red color. They are light reflective and shiny.
