An exceptional specimen of rare colorless garnet var. grossular crystals decorated with greenish diopside needles from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. The colorless garnets are among the rarest in the world. The grossular crystals to 4mm are super gem, completely transparent and clear like water. They have a rhombic dodecahedral sharp crystallization and a glassy luster. They are fluorescent in a bright pink. Some light green diopside needles add a nice colorfulness. It displays beautifully all over 360 degree. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In excellent condition.

Outstanding jewel!
