A fascinating specimen grossular garnet crystals up to 5mm from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. The crystals are very glassy, transparent, gem quality with a superb luster. They have a perfect and sharp rhombic dodecahedral crystal habit. They are almost colorless with a pink hue and some green nuances added by diopside on the back side. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In very good condition – some side contacts. On acrylic base.
Wonderful beauty!
