A beautiful specimen of azurite with malachite pseudomorph growing on quartz crystals from Mecissi, Morocco. The transparent quartz crystals are partially covered by lenticular azurite forming nice rosette aggregates with dark royal blue color. Some azurite zones are pseudomorphed by green, velvet malachite. This gives a superb contrast. The quartz crystals are razor sharp and well formed. Many are doubly terminated. It displays from all sides. In very good condition – some small contacts. On acrylic base.
