A killer specimen of cuprite crystals completely pseudomorphed by copper from the famous Poteryaevskoe Mine, Rubtsovskoe Cu-Zn-Pb deposit, Russia. It displays sharp cuprite octahedrons growing in a cluster. They have been replaced and pseudomorphed by copper, keeping the octahedral shape. The unusual aspect of this pseudomorph is that the copper forms small clusters with copper-brown color. Complete all over. For references see the issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 45, # 4, July-August 2014. In superb condition. On acrylic base.
Exceptional pseudomorph!
