A fantastic specimen of red, flattened, tabular hexagonal crystals of vanadinite, beautifully growing on white baryte rosettes from the famous Mibladen Mining District, Morocco. The vanadinite crystals have an intense red color to some orange nuances and a strong, glassy luster. The crystals are sharp and well isolated. The piece is fresh and sparkling. The vanadinite contrasts strongly on the white background. For references the issue of The Mineralogical Record - Vol. 44, No. 3 May - June 2013. In very good condition – some small damages at the outside edges.
Marvelous!
