A top quality jewel of very rare garnet var. grossular with grass green phantoms from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. The grossular crystals to 5mm are gem with grass green cores, which are result of chromium and surrounded by transparent, colorless, water clear areas. The crystals have a rhombic dodecahedral sharp crystallization, glassy luster and irresistible contrast. It is fluorescent in a bright pink color. The green cored garnets are among the most unusual and rare Jeffrey mine garnets. This was mined a long time ago - the mine is closed now.
