A striking specimen of kolwezite over richly fuchsia colored dolomite var. cobaltoan dolomite covering calcite crystals from Kansalawile Mine, Tenke-Fungurume area, Congo - Kinshasa. It displays sharp, rhombohedral calcite crystals base. Cobaltoan dolomite layer covers the calcite. It is with an amazing and vivid fuchsia color. Above are seen small green kolwezite clusters with a botryoidal habit. Kolwezite is a rare anhydrous Cu-Co carbonate. Some black mineralization around the kolwezite clusters is heterogenite.
